Care begins with recognizing God-given value

Wharton County Women’s Care Center was born from a desire to reflect the heart of Jesus to women and families facing unexpected pregnancies. We want every woman who walks through our doors to feel seen, valued, and supported. We believe every person is created in the image of God, every life is precious, and no circumstance is beyond the reach of hope.

Our Mission:

Wharton County Women’s Care Center provides women and fathers who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy a place to turn for compassionate practical support, education, referrals, encouragement and spiritual care close to home.

Our Vision:

Providing a caring Center where every woman in Wharton County who finds herself in an unplanned pregnancy has a safe, supportive, Christ-centered environment as well as housing options available to her and her unborn child as she navigates every step of her journey.

Our Story

It Began With a Need Close to Home.

An unexpected pregnancy can bring many questions and needs that reach far beyond the pregnancy itself. A woman may need practical help, a safe place to turn, or simply someone who will listen and walk alongside her.

Wharton County Women’s Care Center was created to meet those needs with compassion.

We are building a Christ-centered pregnancy center where women and families can find practical support, education, referrals, encouragement right here in our community.

Our doors are not open yet, but the caring has already begun. Every prayer, gift, conversation, and helping hand brings this vision one step closer.

Meet the Care Team & Board Members

Behind the vision for Wharton County Women’s Care Center is a team united by faith, compassion, and a heart for serving women and families in our community.

Jeanne

Jeanne Bill brings compassionate leadership, nursing expertise, and personal understanding to Wharton County Women’s Care Center. Her commitment to serving women began at age 15, when she faced an unplanned pregnancy, sought help from a Houston pregnancy center, and lived at Life House Maternity Home while working toward stability. The compassion and support she received during that vulnerable season continue to shape her vision for the Center.

Her experience as a single mother further deepened her understanding of the challenges many women face. Jeanne later returned to school and became a registered nurse, combining professional knowledge with lived experience to offer women and families empathy, practical insight, and informed support.

As founder, Board President, and Executive Director, Jeanne leads the Center in providing dignity, hope, and practical assistance to women and their children. Through compassionate care and community partnerships, she seeks to reflect the love of Christ, walk alongside families with grace, and help build lasting hope in the community.

Luana Savage

Luana Savage has called Wharton County home for nearly all her life and is honored to serve as Board Treasurer of the Wharton County Women’s Care Center. She believes lives can be changed when caring people come alongside women and families during uncertain seasons, offering encouragement and reflecting the love of Jesus.

After owning and operating a photography studio for nearly 30 years, Luana brings valuable experience in business, budgeting, and wise stewardship. She is grateful for the opportunity to use those skills to help build a strong foundation for the Center and serve her community with compassion.

Denise Weber

Denise Weber is an educator and G/T Coordinator serving students within Louise ISD. She serves as Board Secretary for the Wharton County Women’s Care Center, bringing experience in education, coordination, documentation, and organizational support.

Her experience developing resources, coordinating services, maintaining documentation, and working to align programs and practices with established requirements supports WCWCC as it builds a strong organizational foundation. Denise is committed to helping the Center serve women and families with compassion, dignity, and hope.

Cynthia Aulds

Cynthia brings extensive experience in healthcare, ministry, and nonprofit leadership to the Wharton County Women’s Care Center. She spent 21 years in healthcare as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and Clinical Specialist at Texas Children’s Hospital and as Director of Cardiopulmonary Services at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.

She later served in ministry and as Director of a Houston-area nonprofit working to combat human trafficking across Texas, gaining valuable experience in nonprofit leadership and collaboration with local, state, and worldwide ministries. Cynthia feels blessed to be part of the Wharton County Women’s Care Center and honored to serve her community as a Board Member.

Nafty Hage

Pastor Nafty Hage brings decades of experience in ministry, counseling, and service to the Wharton County Women’s Care Center. He served with Grace Assembly International in Ghana, West Africa, where he taught pastors who did not have access to university-level training. He also spent 20 years counseling wounded men in the United States.

Ordained through Assembly of God International, Pastor Nafty also holds degrees in Social Work and Sociology from the University of Kings College in Pennsylvania. His experience in ministry, education, and counseling brings a valuable perspective to the Board.

He serves on the Board of the Wharton County Women’s Care Center to help provide guidance, encouragement, and accountability as the organization grows and carries out its mission of serving women and families in the community.

Angel Marshall

Angel Marshall is the Founder and Director of Mama & Me Center, where she works to connect mothers and families with practical resources, education, transportation, and family support. Her experience in whole-family support and community resource connection provides a valuable perspective as Wharton County Women’s Care Center develops its own network of care.

As an Honorary Board Member, Angel supports WCWCC through community partnership, referrals, and resource connections, helping strengthen the Center’s ability to connect women and families with practical support in the community.

Ana Mancias

Ana Mancias brings a heart for service and a personal understanding of the challenges women and families can face. Having experienced single motherhood herself, she is passionate about encouraging women and reminding them of their God-given purpose, value, and dignity.

Ana supports Wharton County Women’s Care Center through administrative assistance, service, and encouragement and is co-leading an Embrace Grace support group for single pregnant women. Her compassion and lived experience help her walk alongside women with understanding, faith, and hope.

Heather Beard

Heather Beard, LPC, serves as Executive Director of Haven Clinic and Resource Center and brings experience in pregnancy resource ministry, counseling, and nonprofit leadership. Her work reflects a commitment to providing compassionate support and practical resources to women and families.

Heather has welcomed Jeanne into Haven as a volunteer nurse, providing an opportunity for her to gain experience and insight by serving and observing an established pregnancy resource ministry. As a member of Wharton County Women’s Care Center Advisory Council, Heather offers oversight and foresight as she’s now overseeing two pregnancy centers.
